Your students can work in pairs to compare a regular sized bat and a miniature bat:following these steps:
1. Measure the length of the souvenir bat in centimeters.
2. Measure the height of the student holding the regular bat.
3. Determine how tall a person should be in order to be proportional to the souvenir bat.
4. Using posterboard, draw a person the correct height.
Have students present their work and write in words how they found the person’s height.
